William Peter Heggie was the 500th baby born at Stevenson’s Memorial Hospital in Alliston, Ontario on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 2010 at 6pm and weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces.

Gram and Bryan enjoyed a lovely visit to Ottawa over Easter Weekend to attend a wedding and hang out with the Nakamoto-Berry family. A great time was had by all!

Sage had a blast with her new wig.

We saw some hot chicks at the Agriculture Museum (at the Experimental Farm).

Ben and Jen Crewson are the proud parents of newly born Morgan Mary Joan, born in Bracebridge at 12:30pm on April 1, 2009 and weighing 8 pounds 3 ounces. Kathy and Peter are very excited!

Jacquelyne and Michael Dinkel had a baby boy on Monday, July 21.

Lukas weighed in at 8lbs and 4oz and was 54cm long.

Everyone is happy and healthy.

Ann Heggie and Bryan Schenk were recently spotted wandering around the streets of Calgary and Banff. They had a great time visiting with Craig, Sara, and Sage.

Ann Heggie decided to spend Christmas in Calgary this year!

Sage was happy to spend time with Gram, and Craig and Sara managed to squeeze in a lovely New Year's Eve out on the town and two days in the mountains on their own.

Sources close to the family say that Ann had a great time and is looking forward to her next visit. Since Gram left, Sage is fond of saying "Where's Gram?" and then she says "Gram is in Neustadt!". Some of Sage's new tricks involve putting on make-up and making blueberry pie!

Van Alstine's in Victoria

At long last Jim (James), Maree, and Rachel are on tour in Canada. Sources confirmed that they had a lovely visit in Victoria with Laurie. Sara, Craig, and Sage also made the journey out to the island for a weekend of fun in the sun!

James & Maree are adopting a newborn baby girl!

Her name is Rachel Laurie Van Alstine and she was born on January 14th at 11:30 AM and weighed 7 pounds at birth.

the Camino de Santiago after some 4 weeks of trekking 20 - 30 km

Mom's Visit

Mom was out for a fun visit earlier this month. We managed to visit Waterton, which is a ghost town after Thanksgiving! We all had a great time.

Mom also managed to paint several rooms in our house.

On the Move

Mom (aka Ann Heggie) is on the move again. This time she has relocated back to Port Sydney. The house she was renting in Guelph has been re-rented and her house in Huntsville is up for sale.

Last weekend Sean and Rada, with help from Heather and Naoki, loaded everything up in Guelph and in port Sydney, Craig, Rob, and Jonathan helped unload.

Sources have confirmed that Jacquelyne Joy Van Alstine has indeed made the transition to the land of chocolate and fancy watches. And sleds.

Sounds a bit suspiciously like a big party, and Jacq has already received her first speeding ticket! She is looking forward to hangin' with her man (Michael), a cupboard full of chocolate, visitors, and learning Swiss German.
